Model Trains
Many children, and middle aged folk in need of
a hobby, have acquired electric train sets, usually of the 00-gauge variety.
Yet how many people with them actually know how to repair their engines? for
very serious enthusiasts who belong to a club it probably is not a problem. But
for the average family?
Often the loco may stop working due to very
simple matters, such as the motor getting dirty, in which case it simply needs
a through clean with white spirit. However, if one is not technically minded,
trying to put model engines back together, having taken them apart to clean, is
rather difficult.
Also sometimes a model loco needs more
complicated repairs, requiring new parts.
