Sports Equipment

While you might donate a tennis racquet to s charity shop, just what do you do with more expensive items like ski-ing equipment. Given the price of new sports gear, what is the best way of disposing of stuff you no longer want. Auction sites such as Ebay, Community sites such as Freegle, as well as charity shops,  and a variety of sporting charities all have their role to play.

Specialist vintage items – There seems to be  a market on auction sites such as Ebay for some specialist items, such as vintage ski-suits, at least if they are still in a useable condition.

Useable, expensive to buy new items – Try Sporting charitys. You might also try selling on an auction site such as Ebay, but do your homework first, looking at prices for past items. Can also considergiving away on a community site such as Freegle or Freecycle.

Good condition items (nothing very special) – A charity shop may be worth a try, and may a community site such as Freegle or Freecycle.

Items With Life In Them – Try a community site such as Freegle or Freecycle.
