How often, especially when clearing out a
relative’s house, does one find prints, or sometimes fine art prints, and
not know what to do with them.

Very Valuable Artwork – Obviously if a piece of art
is truly valuable, by a famous artist (whose name most of us would have heard
of) then the major auction houses are specialists
Run Of The Mill Art
Work – There
does not seem to be much one can usefully do with most ordinary prints and
paintings. Although Art Work can be sold on Ebay, it is not a popular place for
it, and so does not often sell. It appears that there isn’t much one can
do apart from giving it to charity shops. A poor contrast to books, where there
are a variety of options. Obviously one might consider giving art work with particular
themes to appropriate charities, for example pieces depicting railway
locomotives might be given to a heritage railway, or pieces depicting horses to
the Horse Rangers.
