Light Bulbs

Obviously if a light bulb is dead/no longer working, the only thing to do is throw it away, or put it in the appropriate section at the local dump. However, sometime people up with perfectly usable lightbulbs that just do not happen to fit a lamp in their possession. Perhaps a bulb bought by mistake, or for a lamp you no longer have.

Low Energy Light Bulbs – These can be given away on Freecycle or at a Give And Take Day

Non-Low Energy Light Bulbs – (Bearing in mind that for certain lights, such as dimmers, and those of peculiar shapes it is not always possible to get a low energy bulb that will fit or work in it). Give And Take Days will not always accept these sorts of light-bulbs (it going against their energy conservation ethics). However that may be worth a try, and you can still usually offer these on community groups such as Freegle or Freecycle, although do make it clear that they are not energy efficient. It is also worth mentioning the type of fitting, and the wattage etc.
