Collectable Cards

In days or yore some people collected Cigarette Cards. The practice of putting a small promotional card in a packet then spread to packets of tea (for example Brook Bond PG Tips). Many of these sorts of cards, particularly in set form are still sought after by some collectors, although they may not be as valuable as they once were. Old Postcards too have collectors.

A Set Of Tea or Cigarette cards – If you have a complete set, in a book or framed, it may be worth considering selling the set on Ebay. However, if you cannot be bothered with searching out a seller, you may prefer to donate the set to charity. Some Scouting groups, such as the Eighth Twickenham Scouts are known for collecting up and selling these sets on behalf of charities.

Individual or Small Groups of Tea or Cigarette Cards – These probably wouldn’t fetch much on a auction site, unless perhaps particularly rare. However, the would be welcomed by a scouting group trying to make up a full set to sell on for charity.

Post Cards – Old Post Cards may also be of interest to the right collectors, again the best home for these is probably to donate to a scouting group, so that they can sell them for charity.
