There seems to be a lot of waste in the building industry. Yet many items such as bricks, copper piping, plasterboard, scaffolding planks, tiles, and wood could be reused, and would be welcomed by the right people. For example Freecycle seems to be full people looking for odd bits and pieces to finish off DIY jobs, or building allotment raised beds.

Paint – Community sites such as Freecyle are possibilities, as are local area repaint schemes.
