Bicycles
There are a variety of options for dealing with an unwanted bicycle. Obviously it depends to some extent on the condition
Categories
Bicycles In Good Working Condition – It is possible to sell on an auction site such as Ebay, or give away on a community site such as Freecycle. For a children’s bicycle you might even consider donating it to your local school fair.
Bicycles In Need Of Repair – If the repair is not to complex it may be well possible to give away on a community site such as Freecycle, provided that you state that the machine needs repairing. It may even be possible to sell, but again you must state the condition as best you can. There are also various charities who may take old bicycles and refurbish them. You may need to take some expert advice on what is repairable.
Bicycles Too Far Gone To Repair – Metal recycling at the local dump.
Bicycle Parts – It may be worth trying a community group, or one of the bicycle charities to see if they can make use of spare parts.
