While hopefully nobody would take their (or their relative’s) unwanted pet (or their pet’s unwanted offspring) to the dump, judging by the number of times people will attempt to use community forums such as Freecycle to find new homes for their pets, there is clearly a need to know where to go to rehouse your unwanted animals. It is worth noting that many community forums, in particular Freecycle do not allow the forum to be used for that purpose, so don’t attempt it. Instead try a forum or society aimed at that purpose.
